Who needs carseats!

This is a REAL picture i took, can u believe it?

Look closely...

Being an IVF blog you know...

... I have to tell you what we had for breakfast, LOL! Made crepes, been awhile since I made, this time i made half of the batch chocolate crepes, they came out super good! Want the recipe, let me know....i can post here.

These make a great breakfast and better yet, if you leave out sugar and vanilla you can make a salty crepe and stuff wth anything you want....I think stuffing em with seafood, top with a cream sauce baked in oven would be great!

So that my IVF update for today. Seriuosly, nothing too new to report its only day 3, looking forward to my daily injections later of course.

Do you wash floors in the middle of the day?

Its the middle of the day, 3:30PM or so, you have customers, and your store space is like a long narrow corridor - would you throw water and wash the floors at this time? I wouldn't but the pharmacy I go to to get my injections does.

I was about walk to in and saw the water, i waited outside. As i was waiting, people started coming up to the door, placing their orders, LOL, and the guy washing the floor/security guard would bring them their medicines. Too funny!

You'd think I get used to things like this here, i still haven't; it keeps things amuzing I guess.

So one of the two injections I take, called Decapeptyl, given under the skin (subcutaneous) it burns like something else. The other one (intra-muscular in the bottom) is fine, a prick and then it goes away.

Anyway I don't mind once again all these pains if it will help us to have a baby.

I wanted to clarify yesterday's post it says IVF number 5. This is our second time doing egg retrieval... last time we retrieved eggs after egg stimulation we had enough healthy embryos for 4 tries at IVF. So this will be IVF number 5 transfer wise, but our second time actually retrieving eggs to fertilize. Just knew how important this was to you, LOL!

So I'm off for now, hope you have a good rest of the day....

Is FIVE "5" the magic number?

Ok, so we're at it again...We decided to go ahead and try IVf number 5.

Visited our doctor today and started the first of those oh so lovely injections, and will add a second injection starting tomorrow (oh how I look forward to those needles).

Anyway, will go to my doctor May 3rd to see how my egg stimulation is going. I responded so well last time, let us hope this time is the same.

The kinda exciting thing this time is that we will try a blastocyst transfer. Instead of the traditonal IVF 2-3 day transfer, this time they will let the embryo develop even further to the blastocyst stage usually 5 days after fertilization. A really good site to read all about blastocyst transfer is here http://www.ivf-infertility.com/ivf/blastocysts.php

Anyway let us hope all goes well, will start to post again and see who cares about our 5th try. :^)

We haven't told anyone, so if you know us and you're reading this, wish us luck and don't feel bad we didn't tell you, we just don't want to get anyones hopes up and prefer to tell you when, God Willing we take a positive pregnancy test.

Cairo Caco what?

Cacophony:

1. harsh discordance of sound; dissonance: a cacophony of hoots, cackles, and wails.
2. a discordant and meaningless mixture of sounds: the cacophony produced by city traffic at midday.

A must read on life here in Cairo and our "cacophony"...
