36 weeks

I still can't believe I am able to type that above... 36 weeks, wow.

Well Superbaby's birthday has been decided.. October 22nd, 2010, God Willing. The countdown begins, just 20 more days to go.

We have scheduled a c-section. The doctor decided that due to a surgery I had back in 2002 it would be dangerous for me to deliver vaginally. It was a myomectomy and and a very large fibroid was removed from my uterus. I told her I was totally cool with it, adding that whatever was best/safest for Superbaby and I was the thing to do. So now I start shaking, LOL!!!

I have to admit, even though you cannot imagine how excited I am (well some of you can, I know), I am getting a little nervous too. I know its totally normal and I think the excitement definitely out weighs my nervousness. But any type of surgery, even the most inportant, greatest, best ever one, shakes me a little. I know once I see Superbaby nothing else will matter. Man I still can't believe or even guess how that feeling will be when we hear him for the first time, see him...

Next OB appointment is October 12th, I will have my first ultrasound since being here then. We can't wait to see Superbaby and hope all is well.

My Mom is arriving from the East Coast the day before Superbaby's arrival. She'll be around to give some extra help too, so thats very cool.

My baby shower is next Saturday and my friend is going to make it amazing I know, she's such a good party planner/hostess. I am looking to forward to seeing alot of friends I haven't seen in awhile too.

Been so busy aorund here, maybe not taking it easy enough, but I feel good so I hope its all good.

Will update soon, just wanted to say hey to all of you. Keep the prayers, good vibes and wishes coming ladies. xoxoxo

  4. I am so so happy for you my dear friend. Of course you are busy and a little nervous but it's only 19 days to go!!Will you post a superbaby pic? If not make sure you email it to me, I feel tears already at the thought of your miracles arriving so soon. I never think saying "you truly deserve this" is an appropriate comment (who doesn't after all) so I won't say it, but you certainly have not left any stone unturned to get here and I salute your determination and congratulate on your success my friend. Much love, Fran

  8. That is amazing news! We are both 36 weeks! But I don't have a due date! Isn't it surreal - can you believe that a baby is actually going to come out of you? Can I ask you about your doctors decision to do the c section? Just cos I'm still paranoid. Did you have a surgical myomectomy where they cut into the uterine wall or was it transvaginal? Where was the fibroid in your uterus? I'm just asking because of my own weird situation and trying to figure out if my doctors are on the ball or not. I hope the baby shower is great! Woohoo - so exciting! Have fun! Xo

  11. Yay!! My unsolicited advice is to try and move when they let you. It hurts but recovery is faster. Don't overdo it but do it.
    Good luck!!

  14. Wow! I can't believe you're 36 weeks already! Cool stuff! And exciting to have the c-birth scheduled. I had a scheduled birth, too, and it ended up being such a load off my mind, to not worry about when I was going in to labor or what was going to happen. I had plenty of time to prepare myself. Of course, having that time to prepare myself also meant that I had time to freak out over all those little things, too. But in the end, it was so worth it. The c-birth wasn't bad at all. There was some time taken to heal, but it was way easier than I thought it would be.

    I'm so excited for you!

  15. Dear W4O:

Can it really be 36 weeks already? LOL! I almost was scalped the last time I said someone's pregnancy went quickly....but when you are merely an observer it does seem quick. This is such exciting news! I can't wait...plus I look forward to your blog transitioning to the world of blogging that lies just beyond infertilityville!!!!

    Here's to Superbaby's super arrival!

I understand the need for a c-section and when I ended up with one, it was best for baby too. So don't be scared, all will be fine!! Can't wait to see pics of that gorgeous one soon :)
