GREAT NEWS!

Read title of this post with sarcasism...

Went to doctor today, right ovary is very good for day 7 of injections, 8 large follicles woo hoo!
Left ovary has a few cysts 3 x 3.5cm and damn did it hurt when he probed em! Could be source of my back and my sometimes pain during 'you know what' too.

So I will go in Sunday to have cysts aspired. General anesthia, home the same day.

He said aspiration will not interfere with stim injections effectiveness, but did increase dosage for today and tomorrow. Will fast Saturday at midnight and go in Sunday AM for aspiration.

I am searching now for info on cyst aspiration during IVF cycle to see what doctors say...any experience with this?

    Oy, well hopefully this eases the pain and the rest of the cycle (which is looking good with that number of follicles) is textbook!

    Wow - I've never heard of a situation where cysts were aspirated during stimming, but it seems like it would be a good thing, especially since cysts can jack up estrogen, which can lead to hyperstimming. I hope that this relieves some of the pressure!

    Yeppers....I had a beauty spot taken out of my ovary....But my cyst was aspirated prior to the stimming. The aspirated contents are further analyzed. I had the honor of knowing that what I was carrying was not a chocolate cyst, but a bundle of pus. Do I make it sound gory?

    After the aspiration was over, I was put on antibiotics for a few days.

    I've only heard of aspiration of cysts before stimming, but not during.

    I hope this helps with the pain and gets you right back on track. Hang in there.

    Sorry, I have no info for you. But if you do get antibiotics, that can only be good for eventual implantation. Hoping the procedure is painless and relieves your pain!
