I've been tagged by Fiddle1 at It's Stork Season...And I've Bagged My Limit. Thanks girl!
So here it goes.....
1. What was I doing ten years ago? Well 10 years ago we started trying to conceive a baby. We had been married almost two years at that time and decided to wait two years after being married to have kids. Little did we know we'd still be waiting...
I still remember the day, January 1st, 1998. I even wrote it in my journal, (which I have since destroyed, I know, I know, I should have kept it, oh well).
It was my first trip ever to Egypt, and when we got here, DH was like are you ready to have kids, I was like YEAH! The entry went something like this "Nine months from today we will be parents, We have finally decided to have kids. I am so excited and know that in 9 months God will help us to be the best parents..."
2. 5 things on my to do list today: Dust, find something to cook for dinner, blog, check email, try to stay cool... I know BIG fun here!
3. Snacks I enjoy: Nacho Cheese Doritos shaken in bag with Frank's Red Hot Sauce, pretzels, carrots, all kinds of crackers, this cool Chinese rice cracker mix I found here in Cairo, microwave popcorn, potato chips and chip dip from grocery stores in NY, sunflower seeds, really anything salty, not too big on sweets for snacks.
4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Send my mother and her husband to Tahiti, Pay off all my mother and my fathers debts, travel to a different country every other month, donate money to advancing infertility research, pay monthly for life to a number of poor childrens families, sorry but yes- shop my ass off, finish decorating our house.
5. Places I have lived: East Coast USA, West Coast USA and Egypt.
6. People I want to know more about: All of you! So if you're game, leave a comment here and tell us you answered on your own blog and we will come check it out!

I was glad to see that you included infertility research in your lists. My husband thinks I am crazy because I say that if we were to ever win the lotto, I would help those who don't have infertility insurance (myself included...I have very little, but it doesn't cover IVF).
ReplyDeleteI am a newer reader of your blog. I look forward to following your journey.

Frank's Red hot sauce...that sh*t is good on everything. I know I'm a day late, but I joined in. It was fun reading yours.
ReplyDeleteDoritos and Frank's - 2 of my favorites and yet I never thought to put them together. Mmmmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteLoved getting to know more about you.
I still laugh when I think of all the trouble I have convincing my DH to go off the pill..... HA!
ReplyDeleteYour blog header is so very sad - it speaks volumes about those struggling with IVF. The cooked egg with spoons is too funny - you're very creative.
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog - I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. I love your take on it and how upbeat you are!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to following...
