The blood test showed a positive pregnancy.

I will get the results of the quantitative (beta HCG numbers) tomorrow night.

(Here where I live the lab does not process that test on site but has to send to another lab for those results, so another 24 hours of agony, LOL!)

So initially I am VERY EXCITED, but will wait to see numbers tomorrow and then watch them closely over next few weeks.

Will call my doctor tonight as well to see what he says and when he wants to see me.

Tell me ladies, what should I expect in these early few weeks. What should the doctor be doing, beta how often, ultrasounds (is vaginal ok) stuff like that. It's all NEW to me and I am in Egypt, so want to be sure he is on track.

Pray for our embabie(s) that they stay healthy and in place and of course I will continue to keep you posted.

So in closing I say i am SO HAPPY, but a VERY, very cautious happy at this stage. Love you all!!!

    HOLY CRAP! Congrats! That's WONDERFUL!

(you realize IF we both make it through--I mean me, here--we're due date buddies?)

I'm sending you every ounce of baby stick vibes I have. You prayed for me, I pray for you!

So, I have no good advice for the early weeks, but holy crap. I'm crying, dude (methinks I'm hormonal). I'm so bloody happy!

  2. YAY!!!! I just got back online and your blog was the 1st I came to...had to see what the results were! Congrats, girl! I'm so excited for you!

Still praying that everything goes smoothly...

    *BIG HUG*

  3. Congrats!! You have had a long road to this point and I wish only the best for you from here on out!! Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy. WooHoo!!

  4. YAY!!!

For me, the doc did another beta about 48 hours after the first one to make sure it doubled. Mine more than doubled so he made me come back in a few weeks for a vaginal ultrasound to see if we had anything. After that, I think I went to the RE twice - a little bit longer than a week between visits for vaginal ultrasounds. Then they released me to the OB who doesn't do vaginal ultrasounds at all and only does the on the belly kind at 20 weeks.

Make sure you take your vitamins and folic acid. Get lots of rest and take it easy. I ate small meals very frequently and when I felt like not eating I would drink milk so I had something on my stomach - that made me less queasy. Have crackers by the bed in case you wake up hungry.

    I'm so excited for you!!

  5. Excellent news! Congratulations! I'm anxious to ehar the beta numbers! One prayer answered, and more to come, I'm sure!

  6. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so happy for you & your husband.

Relax & awesome does it feel to be "growing" a little person right inside of you?!?

So excited to follow your journey :)

  7. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Whatver your doctor does I hope all the tests come back with great results!

  9. Here for NaComLeavMon and boy did I stumble onto your blog on a happy day!!! Congrats to you ... I hope you get a wonderfully happy beta #! As for advice, all I can say is we had 2 betas, then a vaginal u/s every week until we were released to our OB. I wish you much luck and success!
